Good News Stories

The team wanted to share the good news stories that have occurred in the local area over the last two weeks, following the work the team has been doing. This is the work that the teams of Beckenham Town and Copers Cope, Clock House, Kelsey and Eden Park and Shortlands and Park Langley have been a part of.  

Firstly, a message from Sgt Adams following the Beckenham Community Meeting last night:

“Thank you to those of you who made it out last night for the meeting. There was a lot of subjects covered, both from individual issues, Beckenham wide issues and Met wide issues where we found that criminals were coming from outside of Beckenham to commit their crimes as an example. Each time I feel like it is getting more productive because of your input so thank you.”

Joint Partners Day, the team have been apart of a Cuckooing day of action alongside housing associations and Bromley council. A number of addresses were visited to vulnerable people may be subject to cuckooing. Two arrests were mate on this day for individuals who failed to appear to court. 

The team have been apart of a Section 23 Misuse of Drugs Act warrant in Bromley where a quantity of cannabis has been found and seized, investigations will be continued by the relevant teams. 

The Kelsey and Eden Park team have arrested a prolific shoplifter from Sainsbury Upper Elmers End, the male was taken to custody and charged for two counts of shoplifting. 

Beckenham Town and Copers Cope team have conducted another operation in some of the shops along Beckenham High Street targeting their shoplifting incident times to try and catch the offenders, these operations will be continued into the coming weeks. 

A joint meeting was held with Clarion Housing Association to discuss some of the upcoming joint work that is being completed around Anti-Social Behaviour hot spots areas and vulnerable premises. In addition to this there is continued visits to a Clock House address that has a closure order in place, to monitor Anti-Social behaviour issues.
